Sign the petition: Bev Oda must resign

Falsifying documents? Misleading Parliament? Enough is enough.

The credibility of our democratic institutions is on the line. After first misleading Canadians for months, International Cooperation Minister Bev Oda this week admitted that she ordered a ministerial document to be falsified.

But she refuses to resign for covering up her involvement in having the word “NOT” scrawled on a ministerial funding order that was already signed off by CIDA department officials. Now, instead of saying this dishonesty has no place in Parliament, Stephen Harper is SHIELDING Bev Oda and even applauding her conduct in hopes the dust will settle and Canadians will forget.

Canadians will NOT forget. That’s why we’ve launched a petition calling for Bev Oda’s resignation, ministerial accountability and an end to the culture of secrecy and deceit in Ottawa that is leaving our democracy in tatters. Please sign the petition now — and demand Bev Oda’s resignation.

    To Stephen Harper:

“I call on you to demand Bev Oda’s resignation for ordering the falsification of a ministerial document and then misleading Canadians about it. Her actions have contributed to a culture of secrecy and deceit by this Conservative government and eroded public confidence in Canada’s democratic institutions. Bev Oda is NOT fit to represent the Crown. She must go.”
